Rack-mounted chargers and powers supplies have been through our workshops over the years, and while not
a major volume item they are usually of interest for those with rack equipment that needs powering. The
selection here is from previous jobs that we have produced for companies and utilities in the UK.

A 48V standby system with sealed lead-acid batteries is shown above. This was part of an order for
instrumentation back-up at Sizewell B power Station.

A variable voltage charger with timer for restricting the time of the charge cycle. This unit was a higher
than usual voltage at the time, so the regulator sections were built and operated individually and selected
by the panel mounted pushbutton switches. Today we would use a thyristor charger with variable panel
controls rather than switches. Such is progress....

A high voltage DC power supply for instrumentation use. The supply and distribution unit were supplied
together as a system pair.

Interior of the power supply section. A Makrolon cover is fitted above the capacitors but is not clearly visible.
